History & Culture

When Keystone was founded by Max Dercum in 1970, it was one of three ski hills in Colorado and soon after the construction of the Eisenhower Tunnel, the area became known as “Colorado’s playground.”  The resort now boasts 3 mountains, a lake and small town located at the base of the Mountain. More than just a ski resort, the town offers year round fun and unmatched natural beauty.
